In Vietnam, domestic pepper prices remain stable in the context of supply and demand not having many positive changes. The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) assessed that in the short term, prices may stabilize or decrease slightly due to unstable export demand, while supply remains quite tight after the harvest season.
Harris Spice Company said that the domestic harvest is gradually ending, causing the additional supply to the market to tend to decrease, however, pepper prices have not increased sharply due to weak international demand, and import businesses are still cautious in signing contracts amid trade tensions and global tariff fluctuations.
Pepper price today June 16 in the world market
In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on June 14 (local time) as follows:

Global pepper market gloomy amid peak season
Last week, world pepper prices recorded slight fluctuations with a clear differentiation trend between major producing countries. According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), black pepper prices in Indonesia increased by 0.85% and Brazil increased by 0.41%, while Muntok white pepper (Indonesia) decreased slightly by 0.1% compared to the previous week.
Normally, the pepper market is at its busiest from April onwards. But this year, the market picture is relatively gloomy. Low demand, limited trading activities and the psychology of waiting for lower prices are dominating the behavior of importers and traders.
In addition, the weakening trend of coffee prices due to forecasts of increased output in the next crop also affects the general sentiment in the agricultural market, including pepper.
According to Harris Spice, in the medium term, pepper prices will fluctuate within a narrow range, as Vietnam still has a certain amount of inventory. However, if there are signs of increased demand from major markets, expectations of recovery will be clearer.
In the medium and long term, the new crop from Brazil and Indonesia expected to hit the market in mid-year will be a factor that can put pressure on prices, or help the market establish a new price level if accompanied by increased demand.
